This gorgeous wedding day in the mountains of Idaho took place at Tamarack Resort and if you didn’t know that weddings in the woods could be glamorous, this wedding will convince you. Matt & McKenna met at undergrad in Idaho and felt their wedding would be the perfect opportunity to show their loved ones a place that is so special to them. It was such a beautiful day and I feel so honored that I got to capture it and work with such an amazing vendor team!

Getting Ready
McKenna & her girls got ready together in one of Tamarack’s cabins and Matt and his guys were just up the road in another. Sipping wine while you get into your wedding glam is such a vibe and I adored her custom Newlywed Times newspaper. She helped custom design her Lovely Bride dress because she couldn’t find the style she was envisioning. I love that she had a dream and made it happen, it suited her perfectly!!
Ceremony
This little white chapel in the woods is so romantic and is located conveniently in the center of Tamarack Resort. High windows give it beautiful light and a view of the pines. Elegant and classic florals lining the aisle and on top of pillars below the windows added the perfect touch to this stunning ceremony space.
An intimate and emotional ceremony where they shared personal vows to one another and guests showered them in rose petals as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!
During Cocktail Hour we ran off to the woods with wedding party for some portraits!
And we hopped on a golf cart and headed up the trail for a few spots in the woods for portraits of M & M and played some music and let them soak each other in and take a few moments. Always my favorite and the perfect time to pause and breathe in the midst of all the wedding day chaos.
Reception
An outdoor reception space under the string lights with a view of the mountains and McKenna & Matt had the perfect entrance running out from the chapel’s double doors immediately onto their dance floor. There is nothing I love more than an outdoor reception in the sunshine, I will never tire of looking at sun-flares reflecting off sparkling wine glasses. Just try me. AND I love when couples choose private cake cutting and they also chose their very favorite dessert, Nothing Bunt Cake! Cute!

Dance Floor
McKenna had a cute little outfit change (the BOW!!!!!) into reception dress and got the party started, wine in hand of course. These two are kind, thoughtful, gorgeous, and deeply in love. Capturing this day was a dream!!
